Markov engine power. Other Relex modules invoke the powerful Markov engine as needed to compute results. For example, the Relex Markov solver is called upon to compute the metrics of dynamic fault trees built using Relex Fault Tree. When analysing dynamic gates, Relex Fault Tree constructs equivalent Markov models and then invokes Relex Markov's efficient engine to generate results.
Ultimate modelling. Coupling a flexible diagramming tool with a powerful calculation engine, Relex Markov allows you to model complex, real-world systems with ease. System states and transitions are easily diagrammed, and parameters can be assigned with simple point and click operations.

Markov analysis techniques can be applied to a wide variety of engineering applications where system states need to be taken into account. Markov analyses study dependent random events-events whose likelihood depends on what happened last, or where the sequence of occurrence must be considered for analysis. When applied in the reliability field, Markov analyses significantly enhance analysis tools such as reliability block diagrams and fault trees by factoring sequential probabilities into reliability calculations. Relex Markov provides you with the powerful capabilities of Markov analysis in an easy-to-use, fully featured package. Relex Markov provides fast, accurate reliability analyses for complex systems with common cause failures, degradation, induced or dependent failures, multi-operational state components, and other sequence-dependent events.

Modelling complex systems with ease. Relex Markov analyses make use of state transition diagrams- graphical representations of a system's operational, degraded, and failed states and the transitions between them. Relex Markov provides a complete set of intuitive editing tools to streamline the diagramming process, freeing you to devote more time interpreting the analyses instead of diagram construction.

High performance calculation engine. Once your state transition diagram has been completed, the sophisticated Relex Markov calculation engine takes over. The Markov engine supports both transient and steady-state analysis results. Calculations include MTBF (mean time between failures), MTTF (mean time to failure, sometimes referred to as mean time before failure), and MTTR (mean time to repair). Relex Markov computes an extensive array of additional reliability metrics including capacity values, reliability and availability, failure frequency, cost, and frequency of visits of a state.

The Relex Architect platform. Relex Markov includes all the advanced features of Relex Architect's robust, proven framework. A rich user interface is coupled with innovative features such as the invaluable Project Navigator for centralised Project control, the Relex Bar for customized one-click operations, the Task List for quick access to commonly used tasks, and data filtering for ultimate user control of data views. Comprehensive reporting capabilities include easy-to-use Report and Graph Wizards for complete user customisation of output reports and graphs. Relex's Import/Export Wizard enables you to transfer your Project data to and from Relex in a variety of popular formats, including Microsoft Excel and Access . Additionally, Relex Architect modules are built on a common database, for optimal product integration and data sharing capabilities.

Built for the enterprise. Relex's Enterprise Edition supports the high performance, scalable needs of large user bases. Features such as support for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, permission based security, user and group roles, front end web interfaces, Relex Dashboard for a high-level overview of system metrics, audit trails for tracking data modifications, and customisable data connectors insure that Relex meets the needs of full scale, enterprise-wide teams.
